This video by Eleanor Antin and Willoughby Sharp is dedicated to the “Energy Plan for The Western Man”, the first conference given by Joseph Beuys in the United States. In front of a full house, the artist didactically presents the broad outlines of his thought. A sometimes-stormy exchange with the audience develops, with certain members being invited to come and defend their arguments on stage.
